Ingredients
Method
- Lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and brown sugar until well combined. Press firmly into the bottom of the dish to form the crust. Chill for 20–30 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk until smooth and fluffy.
- Mix in crushed pineapple and lemon juice until fully combined.
- Spread the filling evenly over the chilled crust.
- Arrange sliced bananas over the filling layer.
- Spread whipped topping evenly on top.
- Chill for 1–2 hours until fully set.
- Before serving, drizzle chocolate syrup, sprinkle pecans, and top with maraschino cherries.
Notes
- Make sure to drain the crushed pineapple very well before adding it to the filling. Extra moisture can make the dessert soft and slightly watery.
- For the best texture, use softened cream cheese at room temperature so the filling turns smooth and lump-free.
- This dessert tastes best after 1–2 hours of chilling, but you can also make it a day ahead for easier serving.
- Add bananas just before layering or serving time if you want to reduce browning and keep them fresh-looking.
- You can easily adjust the toppings based on preference strawberries, caramel drizzle, or even shredded chocolate also work well.
- For clean slices, use a sharp knife and wipe it between cuts.
