Ingredients
  

  • 2 ½ cups 325g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup 168g unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • ½ cup 112g light brown sugar
  • ¼ cup 52g granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
Mix-ins
  • ¾ cup M&Ms
  • 1 cup 169g chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Cream butter and sugars together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add vanilla extract.
  5. Add dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in M&Ms and chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop dough into balls and place on baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  8. Bake for 8–10 minutes until edges are set but centers are soft.
  9. Let cookies cool on the tray for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

For the best results, use room temperature ingredients and avoid overbaking. Slightly underbaked cookies give that soft, bakery-style texture that makes this recipe so special.
